So, tomorrow (May 21) it’ll be a year since Mike left for bootcamp. If it was this time last year, I’d be having a nervous break down. It’s always the little things that make you realize just how much you care about a person and just how much simple things matter, like being away from them for 3 months and only having letters as a way of contact. Not only did I look forward to something as simple as writing on a piece of paper every day (which obviously meant more to me than anything), but that 5 minute, random, phone call that would happen once a month if we were lucky meant the absolute world to me. Now that he’s home, I can’t get enough of him, I’m away from him for a day and I miss him, and I am extremely lucky to say that I have my boyfriend back home, so to all of you guys and gals who have a husband/boyfriend/girlfriend/wife in the military, hang in there <3
